If I'm pretty sure my dog is pregnant, are there any special dietary changes I should make?
I'm pretty sure that diet is supposed to affect human babies, and if that's true does the same apply for dogs? What should I feed a pregnant dog to make sure she and her puppies stay healthy and safe through the delivery?

First 30 days: normal (quality) diet. Then, switch her over to a higher protein diet such as puppy food. By the sixth week, she will need to be consuming about 25 to 50 percent more calories.

We use to add canned food to our dogs diet toward the end as well as whole eggs (cooked) and corn oil.
