If I want to use Nike+ sensor to track my running along with a 2nd generation iPod touch, do I need anything more than just the sensor?
The iPod nano is also compatible but requires the use of a special transmitter. I was wondering if the touch did as well, or if the two products simply work together.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Nike+ kit comes with the adapter and the sensor every time. If you have a iPod 2G, then you can just set the sensor aside.
I believe you should just be able to go into Settings > Nike+ and enable the application, then sync it with your sensor. It installs an application on your homes screen.
For ultimate compatibility, you'll want the Nike+ shoes with the slot capable of holding the sensor. If not, I've ben told finding a way to attach it to the top of your shoe (via tape or a small sealed bag attached to the laces) works perfectly fine.
