if i mask a URL with another URL, which one gets the traffic stats?
I have a blog hosted at domain.com/blog. The blog use to have it's own domain - blogdomain.com. Basically, I'd like domain.com to get all the traffic counts, but have blogdomain.com appear in the url. Should I mask or forward, or other?
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

As I see it, you have your blog at domain.com but want the URL to appear as Blogdomain.com when people visit the blog.
Okay, so it's simple just mask the domain.com URL and replace it with Blogdomain.com. Then have the Blogdomain.com forwarded to domain.com.
So that if I type in domain.com your blog will appear and the URL will appear as blogdomain.com. But domain.com will receive the hits.
And you will need to forward Blogdomain.com to domain.com, so that if I type in blogdomain.com I get sent to domain.com. but if will be masked so you won't really notice.
It's a little confusing, so if I confused you please let me know.

@eightyjane Actually if you do what I recommended your domain.com site will be the one that receives all the traffic counts. Since blogdomain.com will be just a mask not the real site.
Thanks for the answer, however you haven't addressed my question about TRAFFIC counting - which is the main problem.
