If I get a Mac for work, is the MacBook Air powerful enough or do I need the MacBook Pro or what?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would avoid the Air unless you need a computer that is ultra-lightweight. For work, it kind of depends on how much you use it & for what. If it's just for web browsing & emailing, then the Air would be perfectly fine, though rather expensive. If dealing with more high-end applications then get a macbook pro.

I'm betting that you could use an entry-level macbook & it would work great. If you don't like the white body then you can go one wrung up to a low level macbook pro (13" macbook pro).

Here's the link for the macbook: http://www.apple.com/macbook/

Here's the link for the 13" macbook pro: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTE4NDY
