A father does not make such a decision lightly so I can not fathom why he would do such a thing, but if he went to the trouble of making a will expressing those wishes then they aught to be honoured.
If any of his children cold gveme a justifiable reason that might sway me otherwise I would not give them anything of his that he did not wish then to have. You must remember that what he had was his not theirs and so he can dispose of his belongings as he sees fit.
