God doesn't only exist outside the fabric of spacetime, God also exists inside of spacetime at the same time. It really is something that is outside of human understanding (and really, plenty of things exist outside of that alone :)).
Think of God like a Chuck Norris-ism. God does all these impossible things, yet God does them because God can!

Lets explore this as if you unlimited and perfect understand of spacetime. Then you would know if it was truly impossible to affect it from another dimension or not. If you had that knowledge, and it wasnt really impossible, then you'd be able to do it.
Also, if you were able to travel from outside the realm of spacetime to inside that realm, then you might be able to affect it that way.
It's doubtful that if he created spacetime he would make it so that he could not affect it in any way, ever.

If science were to discover proof of God it would be tragic as this would eliminate the need for faith and faith is where God lives. The reason science has not and will not (I believe) ever been or be able to prove Gods existence is by default science would be destroying the home of God. Faith.
Believe in God or not, ask any believer, any of the faithful where God lives and the answer will be somewhere ethereal, my heart, my soul, my thoughts, my love etc etc and all of this is made possible by faith. Science does not know it yet but there search to find proof of God or proof of the possibility of God is not going to save the world from believing in something that can't be proven and hence illogical, sciences quest to prove God real is a quest to destroy God and all of the faithfuls faith in Him.
Without faith the place where the faithful hold God would be destroyed.
