And I would be remiss not to mention Taylor Hicks. He is an Alabama boy, and it was neat seeing someone I knew really make it big on a national scale. His version of "Trouble" by Ray Lamontagne was fantastic...I still can't believe I heard a Ray song on ''Idol.''
