I wonder if Reiki will help w/#migraines. Anyone have any experience with that?

I have four to six migraines per month, on average, and I am a Reikipractitioner. In my experience, I find performing Reiki on myself during a migraine to be difficult because I have trouble generating adequate focus. Because of that, I am only able to reduce my pain levels but not eliminate them. The level of reduction is roughly comparable to using biofeedback, for me, but only lasts so long as I am able to maintain focus.
I have not had another Reiki practitioner available to me to provide treatment to me while I was having a migraine (I generally have onset between 1 and 3 am), so I am not able to provide data to you on whether that might be more effective. Reiki has been able to stop headaches for people while I was providing Reiki, but they were not migraines.
If you have access to a Reiki practitioner, either in person or "at a distance", I would encourage you to ask them to try providing treatment. If the practitioner is someone you have not met or seen in person before, I would encourage you to have one treatment in person, even if you are not suffering a migraine at the time, prior to asking for Reiki at a distance when you do suffer a migraine. To provide you with Reiki at a distance, the practitioner must be at least a level 2 (intermediate) or level 3 (master) Reiki practitioner.
