I went to Millersville State College 1979-1983. I saw Susquehanna River Band several times.
They had an album I would love to have.
There was one song that I would like to have "Horses Don't Like Fat Cowboys."
Susq River Band played a combo of Country -Classic - Southern Rock - Semi Bluegrass like Little Feat a mix of a lot of different types.
Any help would be great. I do not have any idea how use Facebook or Twitter or what a tag is. Normal email is it.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Their picture is really blurry, but it does look like your song may be the 3rd track on side 1. The LP is autographed, and selling for about $50, plus shipping. If you'd be willing to pay that much, you should sign up for ebay (if you don't already have an account). If you look on the right side of that screen, there's a link that says "ask a question". Click on that, sign in (if you haven't already) and ask the seller for a track listing.
As I've said, I think this is the right album. I'm basing that on more than the extremely blurry picture of the back cover track listing. I know the song you've mentioned isn't on the Susquehanna River Band II album (which I assume is the second one they put out). You can see the track listing for that one in my source link below. That album came out in 1983, and the one for sale on ebay is from 1980. Assuming I'm right, any other albums would be too recent to be the one you're thinking of. You should still check with the seller before buying, though.
The fact that there's only 1 copy of one album of this band in worldcat (a combined catalog of most libraries in the country), and I couldn't find anything in gemm (a database of a large number of lp/music stores' stock), makes me think this is a pretty uncommon recording. If you really want it, and it turns out that this is the album you're looking for, you should probably go ahead and buy this copy.
Otherwise, you can try contacting record stores in PA (you can probably find phone numbers or email addresses for some online--ask us if you need help with that). The closer they are to this band's old stomping grounds, the more likely they'll be to have a copy in stock. Also, just because none of the gemm sellers have it now, that doesn't mean they won't later on. It doesn't hurt to check every once in a while (that goes for ebay, too--someone else may try to sell a copy there eventually).
Hope this helps. If there's anything else we can do, just ask.
