Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Complexity and recovery time are unique to each individual. Your neurosurgeon can tell you based on the where in the Circle of Willis your aneurysms are and the anatomy of the aneurysms themselves how easy they will be to clip. Some aneurysms are candidates for coiling. Coiling is much less invasive. Whether or not an aneurysm can be coiled is often determined by 3-D imaging studies.

Your question did not indicate how you came to be diagnosed. Typically aneurysms are not discovered until after a subarachnoid hemorrhage(sah). If you had an sah, that recovery time could go beyond the surgery recovery time.

Coiling typically has an easier recovery than clipping because no surgery is involved. Clipping recovery time will depend your unique circumstances. Support of family and friends contributes to positive outcomes.

Patient to patient support is available at braintalk communities aneurysm forum.

Hey socalsue, welcome to Mahalo Answers, when answering medical questions we ask users to disclose within the answer whether or not they have any medical training...

Something simple like "I'm not a doctor but...." or "I have limited training in...." etc... Thanks for your answer
