I was just wondering, how do they make the beer green on St. Patricks Day?

Very simple: food coloring (die).

They suggest you use a light beer as it will take less coloring.

Why doesn't Related Questions work? I've been noticing that in general, but in this case more or less the same question showed up two weeks ago and I gave a long, detailed, illustrated answer. But the question doesn't even show up under related questions. Neither do questions about beer, St Patrick's Day, or anything green.

Yes you need to put the food coloring in the bottom of a glass and then pour beer into it so it can mix nicely.
