I want to weld a bicycle together (make a wobble/swing bike) but what kind of welder should i use... Arc or Mig?
Whats the difference between arc and mig welding. I want to weld aluminum and steel. Would i need a another welder if i wanted to weld stainless steel. Also, i have no welding experience so do you know of a online site to learn?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Most current bicycle frame production is done by T.I.G. welding. I have included and article from Miller, one of the biggest names in welding. Good luck!

You should be OK. Follow the instructions that come with the welder and practice on some scrap bicycle tubing.Good luck!
So i understand that tig welding is the hardest. So i think what i have read ill pry end up w/ a mig welder. Is it easy to hurt/shock myself? And having no welding experience, should i be able to get better with no training?
