I want to make aerial photos, is there an online resource where one can ask questions?
I wonder how much it costs to hire a helicopter or a Cessna to make some real good aerial photos of my hometown. Are there any laws I have to abide by? Where can I ask questions?

Hello @nastalam!
I found a very good site where you will be able to know a lot about aerial photography. Visit :http://photo.net/learn/aerial/primer.
If you have any questions, you can also post them at "our catch-all technique forum" at this link: http://photo.net/bboard/forum?topic_id=1544
The best airplanes for aerial photography is traditionally the high-wing Cessna because of its slow speed and wide open windows. The Cessna 177RG Cardinal is the best for this since it does not have a wing strut and the landing gear retracts. You can buy a Cessna for $80,000.
Many major cities have "helicopter charter" who will take you on air for $1000/hour jet-powered helicopters. If this is too expensive, you can look for a "helicopter flight school" because they will be cheapest. They usually have piston-engine Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters with price of $225-$275 per hour including the pilot for R22. While R44 typically rents for $325-475 per hour with pilot.
