I want to learn guitar, how should I start?

Tip for best answer: M$1.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You can try Mahalo, but a better solution is to go to a local music store and request lessons. A site like Ultimate Guitar.com helps with a lot more songs than mahalo, but caters more to the experienced guitarists who can read tabs. I have 6 guitars ranging in price from 150$ to 3,500$, and have 8 years of lessons already. I am 14 years old!!! Do you already have a guitar? If not ask that question directly to me or e-mail it to me and I will help you with any guitar related problems. My e-mail is attitudexx08@gmail.com. Happy Playing!!!

Hi there @attitudexx I have seen you around a bit now and had a concern about you voting down answers. We here at Mahalo Answers like to accentuate the positive and vote the good answers *up* we only use the "unhelpful" button to mark down answers that are abusive, terms of service violations, spam, or if they are actually incorrect answers.

We never vote down answers just to move our own to the top as you have done here humorously enough to the CEO of Mahalo.com Jason Calacanis.

I would ask you to stop marking answers unhelpful without a good reason any more and to read these guides and learn a little bit more about how we like to do things here at Mahalo Answers
