I want to do a holiday study course in Latin, where can I go?
I want to get some basics in Latin on a holiday crash course and still enjoy myself doing so. Any recommendations where I can get details, prices and facilities?

Rome is the best place to learn Latin because this is where it started and flourished. While you are studying Latin, you can experience Roman culture and history that still pervades this city that is full of both history and modernity. Some of the most interesting places to visit would be the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum where Latin was the language of power even before the Roman Empire.
You have several options that you can take if you want to do a school holiday course in Latin:
1. Sign up for a full study and tour package with a language school or an Italian tour provider.
Since the study course is important to you, I’d pick a language school over a regular tour provider. Sprachcaffe Internationale is a good option as they are an international outfit with a pretty good reputation. Their accommodation options include staying in an apartment or getting placed with an Italian host family so you can choose total cultural immersion if you like. You can find information on their Latin courses here:

2. Plan your own Italian holiday and either sign up for Latin classes or individual Latin instruction with independent instructors.
If you are a do-it-yourself person who does not mind taking the time to do your own research and make your own arrangements, this would be perfect for you. This will allow for total flexibility so that you can plan to study as much or as little Latin as you want while you get to know this city of the emperors and wander through every interesting piazza and basilica.
