3 years, 4 months ago about External Hard Drive

I want to back my external harddrive up online. Where can I do this for the lowest price?

I have a NAS hard drive with nearly a tb of video, music, and photo files. I am afraid that after all the work of transferring these files to this drive that if it crashes, all my data will be lost. I would like to back the drive up online. Carbonite only allows for internal drive backup so I'm looking for something like it but that will allow me to back up this drive. Any suggestions? Thanks
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I haven't actually used any of these, but it looks like http://www.adrive.com will let you store up to 50 GB for free. Beyond that I can't find anything much less than $5/month for unlimited storage.
Here is a good article which compares your opions: http://www.obsessable.com/feature/online-backup-solutions-compared/
It seems to suggest http://www.elephantdrive.com/ is the best option at $4.95 per month.

I have used elephantdrive and it is pretty good. If you're going to store multiple drives, you need the Home Plus account I think (they need to clarify what a "device" is).

I upgraded to Pro (more expensive, but I needed multiple logins b/c I use it for work) and have been very happy.

This is Sean at Box.net. We provide free 1 GB accounts that let you upload files up to 25 MB in size. However, we also provide paid plans with more storage (5 GB and up) with larger file size limits (up to 1 GB) and unlimited bandwidth, which is great for storing not only standard productivity files, but photos, audio and video. Beyond the storage aspect of it, Box makes it easy to share files and folders with anyone and you can edit files with popular services like Zoho, Picnik and more than a dozen other popular applications. So, I would invite you to check Box out if you're looking for more features to go along with your online storage needs. And feel free to keep up on what's going on with Box by visiting http://blog.box.net in addition to our Box.net homepage.

Lots of places do free storage for small amounts of data, and pay-for services for more:
