I want the weather to be printed automatically everyday, how do I do this?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here is how I'd do it:

1) Setup a new, free gmail account. Do not give this email address out to anyone.

2) Setup Microsoft Outlook to connect to the gmail server and receive new messages.

3) Using your new gmail address, sign up for "WeatherDirect" here:
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/email/
You could also sign up for any of the other email subscriptions here - Weather warnings might also be handy to receive.

4) Create a new rule in Microsoft Outlook to automatically print all incoming messages sent from theweathernetwork.com

* Select Tools | Rules and Alerts... from the menu in Outlook.
* Click New Rule....
* Highlight Check messages when they arrive under Step 1: Select a template.
* Click Next >.
* Check a criterion if you want to print only certain messages and make sure you fill in the variables under Step 2: Edit the rule description.
* Click Next >.
* If you specified no filtering criteria, click Yes.
* Check print it under Step 1: Select action(s).
* Click Finish.
* Now click OK.

That's it. As long as outlook is running on your computer, emails should automatically print.

I sincerely hope that this helps.

Rob's answer will definitely work, however, it'll probably print some spam from time to time, and it requires signing up things and maybe using a different email program from the one you currently use. A less complex approach, not involving signing up for anything or using Outlook, would be to use cron for Windows (http://cronw.sourceforge.net/) to load your favorite weather site at your specified time and then do a Ctrl-P. If you need a step-by-step for this, ask again.

So you can program it to automatically load that site AND do the computer equivalent of hitting Ctrl-P, like send that message? Just want to clarify you are indeed talking about automatic, here. :)

Ctrl-P is print in most windows programs, but yeah, it should work automatically. I haven't personally done this, though, so it may take some messing around to get it to work like you want it to.

Actually the easiest way to do this is to simply have a re-accruing weather printout of WetherUndergrounds site with your associated city inside the link using windows task scheduler.

For instance here is a example link

http://www.wunderground.com/US/MA/Boston.html

So I would just set task scheduler to print this page everyday at 6am with no event ending.

Again that would be

http://www.wunderground.com/ COUNTRY / STATE / Major city .html

http://www.Wunderground.com

Haven't actually tried it myself but don't see why it shouldn't work.

Can't get more simpler than that.

You should look into getting a Chumby http://www.chumby.com as it will show the weather to you every day!

Looks like you need a Weather Widget, like the one at Yahoo:
