I want an input on how you think if our government will last or not!!

Tip for best answer: M$0.37
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Assuming you mean the U.S. government?
In light of the soon to be American Union and the Amero currency I wouldn't put much faith in the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence lasting another decade (if not less) already much of it has been amended and your rights are slowly getting taken away 'for the better of a nation'. The U.S. Government will become obsolete, as will the Canadian Government and Mexican, and this has happened before in the world, and will happen again. Unfortunately it's hard to tell when. I just hope it won't be in my lifetime.
Voting for the right people, the right things, and keeping an eye on the things that could change this world are the only way we can keep it from being over taken. They can't do a lot of these things without votes from the citizens, so as long as we pay attention vote for the survival and the well being of our countries, and not get blurred by personal politics and views of parties or candidates, we should be able to sustain. But it's up to the people to make it happen, or else they get what someone else decides for them and it might not be in everyones best interest. It really is Vote or Die.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's talking bout the US-- as most of the Mahalo users are from the US. But if not, he'll clarify.

You may need to clarify what you mean by "government." I think this land will always be ruled by something/someone-- those things/people just may change from time to time.
If you mean "democracy." That is a tiny bit more wishy washy, but I doubt it-- I'm not sure any non-democratic countries have the means to come in here and take us over.
What is more likely is that someone will come in and turn our democracy into something else, but still call it a democracy. As for that happening-- I doubt it. I don't think our citizens are corruptible enough to allow something like that to happen.

Which country are you referring to?
When you say last, are you talking about to the next election, to the next century, or what?

USA?
ok. Until the next election, 99.999% certain to survive. This is one of the most stable countries in the world and there are no immediate threats.
Until the end of the century: 90% certain to survive. Although there is a chance of disaster such as nuclear war, worldwide famine, and unexpected disasters, these are unlikely to happen and unlikely to end the USA government if they do.
Or what (forever): 0% likely to survive. The country will eventually change into another form of government. Hopefully it will be a peaceful evolution into a world world wide government along the lines of the European Union, but more advanced. I expect this to take a couple of centuries.
