i play fallout 3 on xbox 360, why can i level up after reaching level 20?

The level cap for Fallout 3 is 20. Sometime next month though there will be a DLC released called "Broken Steel" that will increase the level cap to 30 in addition to changing the ending and allowing players to play beyond the event that takes place at the Jefferson Memorial.

The game has an experience cap at level 20. Rumor has it that one of the game add-ons (to be released later this year) will adjust the experience cap so that you can continue leveling up.
