I once asked a question about Fair Use of pictures/videos. A top Mahaloian said I can just use Google Image Search. Is that fine?

Tip for best answer: M$0.07
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I suggest you use Creative Commons Image Search. The query sent from Creative Commons Image Search websited page does go to Google Images (and others like Flickr) and retrieves links to those images that have been designated Creative Commons. Creative Commons says it isn't fool-proof but at least you'll have a pretty good idea that it can be used as "fair use". Creative Commons Image Search also searches blip.tv for videos. There are a number of emerging websites that offer copyright free images like MorgueFile, iSpinXpress.com, and Unprofound.com.
