I need top movie reviews? is there any online place you have personal experience .Thank you

Tip for best answer: M$1.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I trust a couple of sources regularly. The first is a pretty big one... the NY Times, specifically AO Scott's reviews, but overall a great resource for movies big and small. And, they offer a weekly email update each friday as well.

Next, I personally enjoy the reviews of Eric D. Snider. I don't always agree with him, but I know from reading him when I might like something he didn't or vice-a-verse. Also, he offers a weekly review email newsletter as well:

Another great source is Rotten Tomatoes... the Tomatometer is invaluable when it comes to determining the overall impression that critics have given of the film... it rates from 1% to 100% a movie based on the overall quality given by a large assortment of reviewers big and small.

Other good resources are the NPR movie page:

And the movie reviews of Joe Morgenstern (from the Wall Street Journal) on KCRW in Los Angeles:

Roger Ebert's reviews are some of the most respected in the industry. His website is here:

Metacritic.com provides a cross-section of many critics published articles. The websites system takes all of their opinions and scores the movie accordingly. You can thus read extremely positive reviews, extremely negative reviews and middle of the road reviews.
