I need to get a birthday cake to feed 50 people (small eaters though) in Los Angeles. Where's the best deal and/or best cake?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The standard answer would be to get a sheet cake for a large gathering. For 50 people. a half-cake would do.
But that is so conventional and frankly, boring!
Think about assembling a cup cake cake using 50 cup cakes. The cup cakes can be arranged for the singing and the blowing out of the candles. Then each guest can swing by the table for their own piece of the party
No worry about cutting or people who want a corner with lots of icing or people who don't want icing.

Thanks for the suggestion. I chose not to tip on this one though because nobody actually answered the question I asked. I eventually went with a half-sheet cake from Albertsons which was surprisingly really good!
