I need to buy an internet domain, anyone have some recommendations on who the best providers are? I would like someone with decent customer
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If I were you, I would look into the finer details of your domain/business before purchasing a domain. Here's why:
1) Your type of business will determine what type of web application, software, back-end development is needed. Some hosting companies are well suited for specific web languages (such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, PHP, etc), which means that, generally speaking, they may have better customer service support for those types of languages.
An example would be if you're going to run an online business that is powered by Wordpress, you would need a hosting company that has great PHP and MySQL support on the backend development.
2) Your type of business will determine the type of customer support needed. Again, if you're wanting to have an online business that requires specific language/s, web applications, etc., you would want a company that specializes in those requirements to provide you with excellent customer support, technically and otherwise.
I would buy a domain from GoDaddy.com and then host elsewhere based on your business needs. Some choices include:
Rackspace.com
BlueHost.com
iPower.com
Best of luck!
