I need some New Year's Eve updo ideas!
I have mid length to long hair and want to try an updo for a New Year's Eve party I will be going to. Please share your best ideas, the fancier and more modern, the better!

I love updos! They can look elegant, yet sexy.
I will share some of my favorite updos below. Sounds like you may be doing your own updo at home. I suggest having an "experiment" day! Pull out the bobby pins, curling iron or flat iron and try many different things with your hair. You can even find glitter hairspray or even a pretty New Year's Eve hat or tiara to complete the look.
When you do an updo, it may seem natural to pull all the hair up at once and then ponytail it. Know that there are other options. You can take small sections and turn them or braid then and then clip at the top of your head. Then curl or tease the hair that is up top. Make sure to use plenty of hairspray!
