I need my gallbladder removed and apparently you gain like 40 lbs - does anyone know if this is true?

My father had his gallbladder removed quite awhile ago and has not gained any extra weight. I would definitely ask your doctor this question. It sounds like someone fed you an unsubstantiated rumor.
