You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Why not try making tie dye shirts? I once read an article that a mother and her autistic son made 5 tie dye shirts, then handed them on to 5 other autistic children and their parents along with instructions on how to make 5 more that they could then pass along to other autistic children. Who knows how long it could keep going.

great ideas here
The best types of activies for a teenage with autism to do are ones he has an interest. Be it animals, movies, computers, photography - find place or shows on these type of things. Volunteer activities are a good way for both of you to share something you like. Whatever it is that you do, make sure your son is invested in it. If you have to work really hard to get your son started in something, there's a good change he'll get bored quickly which will probably make the experience a frustating failure. Good luck - teenagers are a tough nut to crack, no mater what.
