I need a method of getting some items not sold in North America to my home in America from a company that sells them only to Europeans.
How can I do this?
Do I need to set up a P.O. box in a European country to have the items sent there and forwarded to me in America? Or is there a simpler method?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

In Australia we use services such as VPost by Singapore post, this has warehouses in USA, Asia and Europe from which items are drop shipped to wherever you live.
Can't see why it would not work for you into the States.

does vpost allow americans to use their service? I don't know what a NRIC/FIN is and I can't sign up without it. I found borderlinx through doing searches on vpost but borderlinx doesn't allow US customers yet.
VPost reply
"Please be informed that you may wish to utilize our UK shipping address if you are purchasing items from UK as long as you are a member of Vpost.
Please forward us your order invoice to inveurope@vpost.com.sg in order for us to assist and update your invoice on your account for the necessary process."
NRIC is a Singapore Identity card so I guess that is no use for you.
Had a look on the Australian site and have asked if it can be done.
NRIC is a Singapore Identity card.
I've asked on the Australian site if a US person can sign up (vpost.com) and am waiting for reply - up to 3 days.
Might look at:

but these are expensive.
