Here is a classic recipe which sounds great that I found on the web.
----quote----
Ingredients:
----------------
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. finely grated onion
1 garlic clove, finely minced
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. celery salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar or colby cheese
1 (4 oz.) jar minced pimientos, drained
Preparation:
------------------
Combine cream cheese and mayonnaise and beat well until smooth. Add onion, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper and cream well until combined. Add Cheddar cheese and beat until blended. Then gently fold in the chopped pimientos. Cover tightly and refrigerate.
Serving tips by the author:
---------------------------------
Serve as a sandwich spread or as an appetizer with crusty french bread slices, apple slices, and crackers. To make into a dip, add more mayonnaise until desired consistency is reached.
