I managed to connect my Playstation to the TV but it's black and white! Does anyone have any clever tips?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

First, check that the color system in your TV matches with the Playstation output. For example, if the Playstation is an NTSC unit, you need to ensure that the input where the Playstation is connected set to NTSC too. Some TV is sophisticated enough to detect this - hence it is able to change the color system automatically. As you have not mentioned which TV set you are using, please consult your manual.

Other thing that you can check is in the video settings on the Playstation itself. Here is the link on how to change the video output of the Playstation 3.
