I like to read romantic novels like Nicholas Sparks books. Can anyone suggest a similar type of author that I can read?

I have read so many of his books that I am getting bored and need a change. Do you know of any authors similar to his style of writing? I am also open to other suggestions for a different style of books (except for mysteries).
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Great Dune Trilogy: "Dune", "Dune Messiah", "Children of Dune" Frank Herbert

As you will discover, the story is not just playing out in your book, it is everywhere. But while the story never pretends to need a new environment, Frank Herbert brilliantly brings an exciting but very dangerous universe convincingly to life, several thousands years into the future. Taking a step back after reading, anyone will agree that Herbert was a visionary with a delicate taste for symbolism and a way with metaphors that has been unparalleled so far. Dune will lock you into your chair for days, if not weeks, and reading it again becomes a promise much rather than an option."

James Patterson has a few romanatic novels. He's mostly a mystery author, but he does have a few good ones:

Suzanne Diary to Nicholas
Sam's Letter to Jennifer
Sundays at Tiffany's

Those are a few. I wish I could suggest more for you, but unfortunately, I don't read that genre. Those are all recommendations from the girls I work with though!
