I like fruit protein shakes, but I feel like I should add some veggies. What are good types to add for health reasons and flavor?

I personally think that carrot juice is the best tasting one to mix with fruit, I like to mix carrot strawberry and apple.

Also, it's technically a root, but putting some ginger (just a small amount unless you really like the flavor, it's strong) in your juice has a lot of health benefits and can taste really good with pears and apples

Another good one believe it or not is celery, if you mix celery with a fruit with strong flavor such as strawberries or cranberries you can't even taste it. Anytime you can add a veggie and get the nutrients without a strong veggie flavor, I think that's a good thing.

One last tip, for people who have trouble with their digestive tract after taking in the extra protein, one good thing to try is adding a little bit of mint. It tastes pretty good with berries especially (my favorite is blueberry mint), and mint is well known for soothing your stomach.

I agree it's useful to have some greens in your smoothies. I like the ideas that the answer before had, but I would just add wheatgrass. It has great health benefits, and I think it tastes good as well. Wheatgrass juice would be great in a smoothie.

Try broccoli. I read at Project Weight Loss Katie Holmes’s vitamin B secret. Sources say that she and her husband “are buying organic broccoli by the bucket-load”.
