Find a store that has a woman who is the developer (preferably an older woman) and ask to have a private conversation with her.
Ask her if she objects to nude images. If not, ask her if she would be able to develop your images (be clear they are not pornographic) so no one else can see. You'd like to stay until they are finished.
Keep looking for someone that is comfortable working with you that you decide to trust. Wait until they are done. Make sure the machine that is developing them doesn't have a "preview" window that is visible to the public.
Next time invest in an inexpensive digital camera and take the other persons advice to print them for yourself at home. Decent quality printers are very affordable these days.

So what is the word for 'developing' a photo from digital camera? Develop?
The keyword here is "developing". My guess is they used a film camera, not digital.
