I just joined Mahalo yesterday. What do you suggest is the best use of my time here?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The best use of your time depends on what your goals are. If you want to make money, first realize that if you calculate how much money you make for each hour you spend on Mahalo, it's not that high.
Good ways to earn money on Mahalo:
You can tweet 10 questions a day, for 10 Mahalo cents each. You can learn how to use this feature here:

Some pages can make a large amount of money from people clicking on links. You get half of the money earned by people clicking links on a pae you manage. Learn how to manage a page here:

Mahalo Tasks are also a great way to earn money:

If your goal is to earn points, you should answer lots of questions and tip people. Answering questions is not a very efficient way to earn money, but it's fun, raises your belt level, and you learn new things.
