I just joined a gym, now what?

I just joined a really great gym with lots of classes and resources available to me. There are a few classes I want to try, does anyone have some suggestions of fun workouts I can do on my own?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I guess you will have to explore each type of exercises available at the gym until you find one that you are comfortable with.

Well that would be the logical thing to do... I was looking for suggestions, specifically.

It all depends what you enjoy doing, to be honest. If you haven't discovered what you enjoy, exercisewise, try a bunch of different things until you find one you enjoy. Bike riding, lifting weights, dance exercise videos, pilates, yoga, sports activites can all be great forms of exercise. Experiment and you'll come up with something you enjoy and will stick to.

When I asked this question I was looking for something fun to do at the gym, not advice on how to get fit.
