I have two cats a male and female. Both are fixed and chipped. They both went missing on the same day jan 27 2010. It has been almost a week
now and still they are not back. I posted up lost cat flyers around the neighborhood. They are indoor outdoor cats. What can i do if i think someone has stolen them since they both went missing the very same day?!! It is a small neighborhood and all their buddy cats keep coming over. What can i do? Will they come home if somehow miraculously they were let out? I have had them both since they were born. They are mother and son. will they come home? none of the shelters have called so i know they aren't in there. I miss them so much. They are my kids.

I am so sorry to hear that your cats are missing. It seems like you have taken all the right steps. Have you left the chip info with the local shelters and informed your vet?
Cats usually have a pretty good sense of how to get home and they are pretty street smart. I think if someone releases them, they will come home. Since both are missing, it does sound like someone could have nabbed them. Have courage in the thought that they are together!
Consider putting an ad up on Craiglist (free) stating that they were lost and call in to your local paper also! You can also usually post flyers at local grocery stores.
I hope they come home to you soon.
