However, according to Forum threads I found, if you try to buy an app you paid for before, you'll get a pop-up saying that you already bought it, and asking if you want to dowload it again for free.

Itunes will show a message " you have
already purchased this item. To download it
again for free, select OK."
Select ok and get previously purchased app for free. It doesn't matter, how long its been you purchased.
