I have a few questions about making synthetic dreads! I'm past the basics, I need somebody with some skills to help me please
1. None of the colors match my hair perfectly (obviously) so I bought a few different colors to mix, but the hair is so frizzy it's a lot harder than I thought. Do you have any tips on getting the colors to blend in the pre-back comb stage?
2. Since I haven't actually made my dreads, i don't have experience putting them in yet, but I find it hard to believe that having them all the exact same length would look good on your head. I'm planning on shorter ones - maybe 8 - 12 inches long (is that too short?) I'm mostly curious about aesthetic placement: should I plan to put longer ones on the top of my head? ; shorter ones in the back? ; etc. This part I would especially like to know a lot about. I don't want to end up with my dreads looking 'grown out' or sloppy.
I think I had more questions, but it's one am and I forgot D: I'll add more when I remember.
I've tried googling these questions a thousand different ways, so that's why I'm looking for a professional to help me out here!
Thank you for your help!
I don't have a lot of 'money' to offer, otherwise I would. Hopefully whoever helps me is a nice person who is okay with my meager offerings

Any other time you plan to do dreads that go with your hair color, you can buy a color that is close to your hair color, but t since you already have these ones you can try to blend them to look presentable.
To do this, separate the different colors you have and lay them on top of each other (for example, blonde, brunette, blonde). Hold them with your left hand and using the fingers of the right hand, pull them into the right hand, making sure that you mix the colors as pull them into your hand.
Depending on the style you want, you can use both long and short braid. I usually prefer to put the shorter ones at the back and the longer ones at the middle and front. But whatever you do, do not use a braid that is shorter than your hair, so that you won’t need to attach rubber band to the ends,
If you have a short hair, you can start with shorter braids, because they are easier to do and take less time.
