I got this email today, is it fake or real? What should I do about it?

"My name is Captain Matthew Stamford of the US Marine corps stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan,
I found some money stashed in a couple of barrels while on patrol ($900,000.00) I need someone to help me move it to a safer place, please have it in mind that there is no danger involved. You may contact me on usmarine118@i12.com so that I can provide you with more details."
Tip for best answer: M$0.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

That is a known fake/scam email message.

Report it to the FBI here ~>FBI | Fraud | Fraud Schemes

Delete the message or save it unopened and report it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is surely a Nigerian 419 Scam and should not be regarded as true at all.

if you had found money then he can hand it over to the government . by handing it to the government he would receive commission for his honesty.
if he is saying that there is no danger involved then he have properly taken some other one who is near to him or have taken the help of government if it is legal.
i conclude that the stuff involved is illegal for sure and say away form it.
