I find that as I get older, sports video games like baseball and basketball have almost become too complicated for me. Is there an easy one?
I haven't played a baseball or basketball game in years because I don't have the free time to learn all the intricacies of the game. Are there any current games with that "old school" game play? i.e. just press "x" to swing at the correct time? Not press "x" while rotating the analog and tweaking your nipples!

I know exactly what you mean!!
Rumor has it they are making Tecmo Bowl again for the PSN. In my opinion that's one of the best football games of all time. Simple to play, just push a button for a play and hope it all goes well. I don't care for Madden much at all and prefer the 2k games because they just seem to be more playable and fun.
Check the PS store for "throwback" or "arcade" sports games and you might find what you are looking for. I'm holding out for Tecmo Bowl myself.
NBA Jam is also slated for release in the next year or two. I can't wait!
