Ranch dressing! I've never ever dipped my blooming onion in mayonnaise that doesn't even sound good. Give ranch a try you'll like it!!

My daughter loves this spicy sauce:
# Dipping Sauce:
#
# 1/2 cup mayonnaise
# 1 tablespoon ketchup
# 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish sauce
# 1/3 teaspoon paprika
# 1/4 teaspoon salt
# 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
# 1 pinch ground black pepper
# 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Well duh is me, i thought you meant you just didn't want to dip it in pure mayonnaise :D. Try the ranch dressing or here is another version of the dip I use, it is from allrecipes
* 1/2 cup sour cream
* 2 tablespoons ketchup
* 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
* 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated raw horseradish
* 1/4 teaspoon paprika
In a medium mixing bowl, combine sour cream, ketchup, seasoning salt, red pepper flakes, horseradish, and paprika. Serve immediately or refrigerate before serving.

Hope that helps Betsy!

Leslie, I really appreciate that you took the time to include a recipe but the one you have lists mayonnaise as the first ingredient (which as I mentioned, I can't stand). Do you happen to have any other good dipping recipes without mayonnaise as an ingredient at all?

Personally I like ketchup with my blooming onions, I can not eat onion rings without it. Give it a try!

I don't like mayonnaise either. I also don't like blooming onions; but, perhaps my tip will be of use anyway. I use Tartar sauce everywhere that most people use mayonnaise. It works for me. I also usually spike the tartar sauce with some Tabasco.

you can try most thickened salad dressings, such as:

bleu cheese
green goddess
creamy ceasar
creamy italian
thousand island
russian dressing
or horseradish sauce

or you are limited by a restaurant's choices you can sprinkle a little vinegar or lemon juice on them and dip into ketsup.

i'm another who doesn't like mayonnaise, but if i have to have it, i add much hotsauce to the food item. it helps.
