I am painting my living room a gray color, what would be a good warm color to use as throws and pillows.

Tip for best answer: M$0.25

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Consider looking at warm color palettes. Blues, greens, whites, tend to be in the cool family and yellows, oranges, reds, pinks tend to be in the warm family. Also you can give warmth to the room by selecting wooden pieces with red undertones, (large entertainment center, armoire, tables, chairs or benches. I offered a color palette, along with sample of a painting done in gray and warm colors. Hope this helps.

I would go for gray and purple. That way, you can put different shades of cushions, like blues, and many shades of green to freshen up the color scheme. I think with red, it's a bit restricting, and would become very boring, after some time.Shades of purple are more relaxing, than red, and have a calmer effect overall.

Hi there. With grey, the most obvious choice of 'contrasting' color is red. Red is very warm, and matches perfectly with the gray walls.
Here's an example of how good red and gray work together:

Other choices you might like are: pink, blue, yellow or purple, but personally I would choose red.

Here's some more examples:

Gray + Purple:

Enjoy!
