You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

When you're on Coumadin, you need to regulate your vitamin K intake. Since leafy green vegetables contain vitamin K, those are the ones you need to watch. Here is a list of vegetables high in vitamin K:
*Kale
*Spinach
*Turnip greens
*Collards
*Swiss chard
*Parsley
*Mustard greens
*Brussels sprouts
*Leaf lettuce
*Broccoli
*Endive
*Romaine lettuce
Depending on a lot of factors, you may not need to eliminate these vegetables altogether. You really need to talk to your doctor to find out how your diet will affect your PT and INR tests. He or she will give you specific directions on how often and in what quantities you can eat vitamin K-containing foods.
