I am looking for interesting cyber crimes that stick out in your mind.
The first case should deal with a Canadian US or other country with similar legal system crime involving single or few computers and the second case should involve the Internet or a crime using a network that occurred across many countries or a large geographical area.
I will also tip people who give interesting answers that isn't chosen as the best.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Interestingly, Schiefer was a programmer at Mahalo and heped to build this great system.

M$Another one that annoys me is fake goods, imported mostly from china and traded via eBay. Although, the buyer may not be the victims, the companies that make the legitimate items lose money because they cannot compete with the prices of the fake goods.
These may sound boring without your average "evil" hackers with shaded glasses working in a dark room with computers, but they are interesting if you take a deeper look.

M$Another one I can think of that happened recently is the Denial of service attack targeting twitter and Facebook.
Here's an extra one just in case, in 1999 the Ministry of Defense satellite was hacked, possibly by Southern England.
The interesting thing about theses attacks is that no one got caught and no one knows who the attackers were- still.

Great! I'm glad that this was the one you picked!
I sure would be interested to read your report after it's done.
Silly proofreading

I'm thinking I am going to go with this one. I guess I didn't pick it soon enough as the best answer tho.
