the best values today are the "standard" versions of 60's muscle cars. You can get the vintage look and more performance than Detroit could imagine 40 years ago and have something you can drive every day and have a good resale in the end. in this way, these cars are very much the "57 Chevy". They are plentiful and they were nothing special when new.
I'm personally working on a '64 Austin Healey Sprite. it will never be worth a fortune, but I like it!
