I am looking for an easy and yummy fondant recipe. I don't want one from a website I want one that you have actually made.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

16 ounces white mini-marshmallows
2 to 5 tablespoons water
2 pounds icing sugar (please use a high quality powdered sugar for the best results)
1/2 cup Crisco shortening - put in a bowl that you can dig some out of it!
Melt marshmallows and 2TBs water in microwave for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until marshmallows are completely melted. Place 3/4 cups of powered sugar on top of the marshmallows.
Grease your hands and counter and put marshmallows on to grease covered counter.(careful marshmallows may stil be hot!)
Now start kneading the mixture. Now you see why you have greased your hands! Keep kneading and adding some of the remaining powdered sugar as you go. Keep kneading until you have a firm smooth elastic ball that wil stretch and not tear.
You can use it right away or best is to store away overnight, double wrapped. If storing coat with a layer odf Criscowrap in plastic wrap and place in a Zip-loc bag and try to remove all air from bas as possible. It will store in fridge for two weeks!
I know this may not be like a traditional fondant, but it taste great and is a blast to make!
Have fun!
