I am looking for an affordable but quality eyeliner that is truly waterproof! Any suggestions?
Is it best to buy pencil eyeliner, gel, liquid (probably not but who knows)
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
Thanks!

I also found this video that talks about both eyeliners.

M$The one I can recommend is Styli-Style Line & Seal for eyes. I think it's part of the 24 Hour Power range.

I have to admit, this stuff goes on very smoothly, easily and nicely, then once it's on, doesn't seem to move much at all. (and I do get rather warm, moist and slimy at times. hehe) I also can't stand using proper "eye makeup removers" to get makeup off. I want my make up to come off with warm water, a gentle cleanser that gets foamy and isn't uncomfortable even if it gets in my eyes, and a good rub with a soft sea sponge. And this one does! Ugh, I don't like using eye or skin makeup that I have to sort of dissolve with some kind of weird solvent.
(P.S - the ordinary cleanser I have found that doesn't bother my eyes, even when a little bit gets in, is a cheapie Johnson's Kids Top to Toe Wash, of all things! As far as I can figure, it's because the first active ingredient is PEG-80 sorbitan laurate, which is a different and more gentle cleansing ingredient from the main ones you'll find in a great deal of cleansers and washes. I can't guarantee everyone will have the same experience, though.)
Some good reviews of Styli-Style Line & Seal here too. The website says "Unbiased reviews", but I have no idea how you could confirm 100% that these reviews are not from Styli-style staff or something... but these people appear to be non-spammy and seem to be posting mixed reviews about all sorts of products, not trying to sell any particular brands.

I've seen them sold online for under $10 U.S, however I'm not sure if this was a "satisfaction & genuine prodict guaranteed" kind of website or not. I have seen them sold for a low price on Ebay too. For other stockists - drugstores, chemists, pharmacies; as well as department stores and variety stores I think - the price seems closer to the $20 mark, or a little less. Probably depends where you live. I spent around $20 U.S. on mine, here in Australia. (I'd give you more definite pricing, but my computer is failing and all the US sites that show a price seem to not be able to download for me in less than .... forever. :D)
I'm sure there is variance between different people as to how well each product will work. I have noticed, generally, with just about any eyeliner I'll get better wear if I apply something powdery underneath it - a powdery eyeshadow, or face powder, or a foundation/makeup base that has a bit of a stay-put texture. (For bases that wear well but still come off with normal foamy cleansers, by the way, I seem to get quite good results when the first ingredient is cyclopentasiloxane.)
Good luck, hope you find something that works for you! :)

This website can also be handy sometimes for getting an idea of what the heck is in all your various products.

M$Those are... okay.
When I bought those glimmer sticks, they didn't last long in my purse. Any heat at all and they mush up like over soaked kidney beans!
I used to sell Avon when I was younger through a actual avon store 'cause I wasn't old enough to rep... I went crazy over their makeup, but man... it all hated me. I have pretty sensitive skin so most of it just didn't work for me. :(
LOL, I have never had any problem with them, I keep them in my purse as well.

I would pick #2. Dior eyeliner. It comes with a blending brush and I love that it's 'mistake proof' since I can easily make myself a little too scary looking if I'm not careful!
You can order it here:

Now, all I need is for someone to teach me how to look like this!

M$oil on their eyelids to keep liner in place. Either natural oils or
eye creams. But you must be very careful to get a skilled practioner.
And you probably would not want it like this picture. Fashions change.
In the 60's this look was 'in' and in the 80's we laughed about it.
Now it's in again and hopefully no one would have to grow old with it
When you get ready to try a new mascara, try 'Sensitive Eyes Mascara'
It will make your lashes as lush as possible and it does not irritate
sensitive eyes or contact lenses. Washes off with mild soap and water.
Best of all it does No animal testing. Meaning small animals have their
eyes clamped or stapled open and chemicals put into their eyes for weeks of pain and eventual blindness. This is something every major 'prestige'
cosmetic company claimed they did not do...or would not do. They All do.
Sensitive Eyes Mascara is tested on volunteers with long term sensitivity to cosmetics and those who wear contact lens. They love it
So do I. And I am in the process now of trying to purchase it wholesale
to raise funds for PACC Patient Assistant Care Cats. Cats who save lives
Reduce stress, so heart attacks, stroke and drugs, including anti depres
with such horrible side effect. If you would like to try Sensitive Eyes
Mascara, or sell it to make a little extra cash wendyfox56@verizon.net
