You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

"partial list of items for sale and services the advertisement of which is not permitted on craigslist.Household pets of any kind including but not limited to dogs, cats, primates, cage birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fish. Re-homing with small adoption fee OK "
From what I've seen the "community" decides on the whether an adoption fee is too high and then they flag and remove your post.Your safe bet if you do post on CL is not to state your adoption fee on your ad.Hope this helps.

M$I was using craigslist as an example. Only site I could think of at the moment.
If your referring to my comment it is on CL...People just take advantage of free postings and disregard the community rules. The poster above suggested to get around flagging you just don't list the fee. Just wanted to share that no fee means flagged.
It's not important where I live???? This applies to all of CL....
Thanks

Well folks do not 'sell' on CL...It's guaranteed that if you do not put your re-homing fee it will get flagged...The community assumes when no fee is listed that it's a sale.
Re-homing on CL means the cost to prepare you dog to rehome such as current shots and or current altering. You cannot recover the cost of keeping a pet on CL. Nor can you ask what a pet is worth.
Re-homing pets that are no longer wanted should not be more then $50.00.
Could be a little more if the pet is altered and microchipped. It is assumed by the community that a pet owners responsibility is to do these things for their pet and it's not recoverable.
It does not assure the pets safety but it does stop the sale of pets and flippers.
Puppies will also get flagged right away. It's assumed a BYB or a Bad Breeder.,
Many people looking for pets on CL end up with sick animals. They get lied to and can never recover their losses.
In my area you have the community "nut" that will harrass you, put your name out there, etc. The "nut" gets reported and comes back using another name.
It's best not to buy or sell pets on CL..It's most unfortunate that those trying to make a quick buck are abusing this site.
There is a petition out that is asking CL to only allow the re-homing of altered pets to help stop the slaughter of so many animals. Every over priced pet purchased on CL means another pet is put down in a shelter. How sad is that.
