I am a Vampire Wars, Farmville, Farm Town addict. Is there a 12 step program for this yet?

Tip for best answer: M$0.37
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Actually there is, it is called Online Gamers Anonymous.

Excessive game playing can be destructive in one's life. It can also be a symptom of deeper mental and emotional problems. As their mission statement reflects they meet to help each other with their common problems.

This is there Mission Statement:
"On-Line Gamers Anonymous is a fellowship of people sharing their experience, strengths and hope to help each other recover and heal from the problems caused by excessive game playing." Online Gamers Anonymous

See 12 Step Programs for more information and/or visit their website.

Assuming this is a serious question(In my answer I was not taking it as so.) This is an excellent answer!

I think one just has to quit cold turkey, i.e. just stop...and then reward one's self in some way. I quit Farmtown all of a sudden but I became more involved in face-to-face activities with the people around me. I also needed t study for a certificate exam which took up a lot of my time.

Of course, now I'm here all the time - but at least its more mentally stimulating than Farmtown!

I'm not sure about Vampire Wars but you can reduce your time on both Farmtown and Farmville by planting crops that take much longer to grow. :)

Maybe if you go from checking every couple of hours to every day then to twice a week you can ween yourself off of them.

Don't forget to check out the Mahalo pages on Farmville, and Farmtown there might be some time-saving tips.

Good Luck!

I am sure the addiction can be broken with Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is what breaks smoking habits and when I was placed on it, I lost interest in Farmtown . I am still addicted to Farkle and Bejeweled Blitz. So they must not be real addictions :)
