I am a female, just recently moved to Sacramento Ca. What should I do for my 25th birthday in October?

Drive to Lake Tahoe. It's an exquisite crater lake about 6,000' above sea level (and you have to go about 7,000' above sea level to get over the passes to reach it, so the air does get thin). Take Route 50 for a beautiful ride or Route 80 for a faster trip. Stay in Incline Village if you want a more "Tahoe" experience (and still some gambling) or in South Shore for predominantly gambling fun. If you want no gambling there are plenty of CA towns around the lake to enjoy. October is pre-ski season so you can get great rates on condo rentals, B & Bs as well as hotels.
Definitely plan a leisurely drive around the lake. It is pristine beautiful and will take your breath away. There are wonderful native stories to hear. There are fun outlet-store centers in various spots to find great birthday bargains. Mostly, it is just exquisite scenery and the people are among some of the nicest you will find anywhere.
