You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$One of my favorite bands in that particular rock style is System of a Down ( http://www.mahalo.com/system-of-a-down ). They have a sound similar to Disturbed.
Rage Against the Machine ( http://www.mahalo.com/rage-against-the-machine )

No Problem. It's a good option for others.
Yes, that is correct. I would love to use Pandora, but it's blocked.
And the workarounds are too much of a pain. But thanks anyway for the suggestion.
Pandora doesn't work outside the US.
I believe the asker is in Japan.
OK, this no edit button is killing me!
"That's a good list, but unfortunately I am a connoisseur of "classic" metal. "
Thanks @philipy,
I will give it a try.
Hi krusheasy,
That's a good list, but unfortunately I am a connoisseur of "connoisseur" metal.
Any newer bands or bands that might have slipped by without my noticing?
By the way, I have lived in Japan for 7 years so "new" is a relative term ; )
I have a hard time keeping up with all the new group myself. I would suggest checking out who tours with bands you like. The warp tour for example might be a good place to find similar sounding artists.
I found one you might like on the tour list called A Day To Remember

I know nothing about that kind of music, but I thought I'd suggest last.fm.
If you don't know it, it's a pretty good music discovery service where you can find artists similar to ones you like, and people with similar music tastes to yours.
Thanks for the links!
